Trying something new always brings on a lot of different emotions…happy, scared, anxious, worried, excited! You can’t let your emotions get the best of you when you want to make the change, if you allow your negative thoughts to take over, then you lose before you even begin. When it comes to health and fitness, for me my challenge (every time) is sticking with it! I’ve tried classes, one on one, creating my own routine at the gym, running, yoga (sigh), you name it. I’ve seen success and I’ve seen progress, but for some reason I just don’t stick with it long enough to meet my GOALS! Why? What is it that is holding me back? Why can’t I lose that last few lbs and fit into that dress or feel confident in that bikini?!?! One word- ACCOUNTABILITY! I’ve never held myself accountable and I’ve never had someone else holding me accountable. I’m not talking hand holding or a personal trainer pushing me in the moment. I’m talking long term accountability, motivation, and support!! In January, I found the answer!! A BEACHBODY COACH and a Challenge Group! Since January, I haven’t skipped a workout, I haven’t cheated myself, I haven’t given up on myself, and it feels GREAT!! Each day, I get up and I feel good. I workout, I eat right, and I stay on track. The perks?? I have dropped 2 pants sizes, I have my family feeling better and eating better, I have a confidence that I haven’t had since before I had children, and I am happy!
Challenge groups are free and they are a very easy way to stay on track. Each day you check in with your group- a group of people all in the same boat as you, a group of people trying to reach their goals, a group of people that are supportive! By checking in you stay motivated, you learn the essentials of clean eating, you learn the importance of meal planning, and you reach your goals! In these groups you can find recipes, tips for staying on track, motivational posters, transformations, and so much more. It is a place where you can ask questions and get real one on one advice from your Beachbody coach.
