Want to know the hottest thing to hit this summer?? One word…PiYo. First let’s talk about what PiYo actually means. It is not just a cool sounding word, but it is a workout based upon Pilates and Yoga; combining the two for ridiculous results, flexibility, and improvements to functional movement.
Some may be thinking ughhhh “I HATE yoga and I don’t like Pilates!” ” I don’t get a good workout if I don’t jump around and sweat” “Yoga does nothing for my cardio game” Well, I’ll be honest, some of these thoughts crossed my mind as well. At the Elite Retreat in May, a few coaches that are certified PiYo instructors offered a live workout. It was great!! Something I will have to do again to master the moves, but it was a total body workout and I DID sweat…a good bit!
