21 Day Fix Extreme Results
I was so very excited when my husband agreed to do the 21 Day Fix Extreme with me…like the whole program, start to finish! We have never done a program together. In the past, we have worked out together, but it never seemed to actually “work out.” He does his thing and I do mine. So when the two worlds collided, it was really awesome and very exciting for me. We had a great time with it and let me tell you, his results PROVE that this program is for men too! Sure, it may be led by a female trainer, but believe me she doesn’t go easy on you!
We stuck to the meal plan, we pushed through the workouts, we had fun, and we reached our results! Going into this, we didn’t have set goals. Set goals meaning we didn’t say we wanted to lose “x” pounds or “x” inches. We went into it knowing we wanted to eat better and exercise regularly. We came out of it with some pretty awesome results.
I know everyone just wants to hear the amount of weight we lost and the photos to prove it, but first I would like to talk about the “non-physical” benefits that I noticed. First, I started to notice that I felt less stressed. I attribute this to the healthy eating and cutting out of unnecessary sugar along with waking up early and getting my workout out of the way. Second, I noticed that my sleep was better. I slept more soundly and felt rested when I woke up. Again, I would guess this is from cutting the processed foods and sugar. Third, by eating healthy food and eating the right portion sizes for my body, I did not feel bloated! Of course those are not the only 3 changes that I noticed, but they were the ones that really stuck out the most. On top of that, my skin looks and feels better, I drink less coffee, I don’t crave sweets as much, and I don’t ever have that “overly-full” feeling now that I am continuing the eating plan of the Extreme.
My husband has noticed the same type of differences that I had. The biggest for him was the sleep. He works long hours and always feels tired and run down. Now that he is following the Extreme eating plan and cutting out the unnecessary junk he has more energy throughout the day and doesn’t feel so sluggish when waking up in the morning.
Okay, I have kept you waiting long enough! The before and after photos! So here goes… the final results of the 21 Day Fix Extreme Round 1…

*Side note, he did not get a spray tan for the after photos. We live in Pittsburgh, and unfortunately natural sunlight is hard to come by! The before photos are indoor light and the after are natural sunlight.
Me: My weight did not change which I am OK with! I did however, lose 4 inches AND my yoga pants are loose!
So there ya have it! Our first couple’s challenge was a success! Getting fit and healthy together was a lot more enjoyable than I had imagined! We laughed (together and at each other), we fought cravings together, we helped each other stretch out the soreness, and we had a lot of fun along the way. We are definitely not doing a 21 and done type of thing here, this will be long term!
